A submersible pump is a unit combining
a pump and a motor to an enclosed unit,
suitable for submerged installation.
There are two types of submerged pumps:
A submerged pump type with a submersible motor.
A submerged pump with a dry motor,
which is connected to the pump by a long shaft.
It efficiently pushes fluids to
the surface by converting rotary
energy into kinetic energy.
Commonly used for water supply,
drainage, and irrigation systems,
submersible pumps are reliable and
self-priming, making them essential in
various industrial and domestic applications.
Underground natural mineral water
often flows through permeable chalk and rock.
The filtration through the rock layers means
that this water can be of the highest quality.
A borehole water supply is a deep well that accesses
this underground water with a high-efficiency pump.
A submersible pump is installed
underwater whereas a centrifugal pump
is installed on the ground. Therefore,
submersible pumps are used for groundwate
r extraction through deep wells and centrifugal
pumps are ideal for water supply and drainage
applications in urban areas or
for industrial purposes.
